Methods of Payment
PayPal: PayPal is like an online bank that is owned & operated by eBay. You can choose to pay using your credit card, debit card, bank account, or PayPal balance. PayPal allows you to make secure purchases without revealing your credit card number or financial information to DiaperWorks.
Paypal accepts credit cards without signing up for an account. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PAY PAL ACCOUNT! When at check out, select Pay Pal as your form of payment. Proceed as normal, at the end of the paying process, you will be asked if you want to save your information or return to merchant. If you do not wish to sign up for a free Pay Pal account, simply press "return to merchant"!! It is safe and secure! I have been personally using PayPal since 2001 with no incident as a method payment online and as a business since 2003.
Credit Cards: We accept Visa and Mastercard payments via secure payment processing. If you prefer not to send your credit card information via the internet, you can always phone in your card information by calling us at 613-823-4720.
Currency information:
- Default currency is in US dollars. You may switch to CAD dollars at any time using the currency drop down box.
- Current US:Canada exchange is approx. $1.00USD=$1.25CAD (updated November 1st, 2008).
Orders picked up in Ottawa can be paid for at the time of pickup by Visa, Mastercard or Interac.
Shipping alternatives and their costs
International orders will be charge exact shipping and we will contact you with the costs once your order has been placed.
Local customers can pick up their purchases at our Barrhaven office. You will be offered the option of Local Pickup when you checkout.
Shipping prices vary depending on the weight of your order. You can check the shipping costs at anytime by adding the desired items to your shopping cart and then you will see the Estimated Shipping costs button. This is what you will be charged at the time of checkout based on your address.
** Remote areas of Northern Canada & Labrador have a surcharge applied as per the Canada Post rate tables.
We use Canada Post as our default shipping method. Orders are shipped Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please note that occasionally we cannot make it to the post office but we do our best to get parcels out in as timely a fashion as possible.
We will contact you if there are delays/back orders - if items are back ordered and an item is expected within 5 business days, we will wait and ship your order as "complete". Should an item be expected in more than 5 business days, we will notify you of this fact and we will ship in stock items right away and send any back ordered items at our cost (regular parcel) as soon as they arrive unless the item description notes that the item is a special order - in this case, the entire order will be held within the time frame specified.
USA: (We use Canada Post/USPS):
USA Air Mail: 4 to 7 Business Days (Estimate): There are no published delivery standards for Air Parcel service; however, there is a service expectation of 4-7 business days to most U.S.A. destinations plus 1-2 days processing time. No tracking # is available for this service. Due to the fact that the package must clear US Customs the service expectation is an estimate only.
Canada: (we use Canada Post):
Canada Regular Mail: 2 to 7 Business Days: Expedited Parcel delivers the next business day locally, 1 to 3 business days regionally, and 2 to 7 business days nationally between major Canadian centres plus 1-2 days processing time. (We are in Ottawa so Ontario & Quebec is Regional ... Manitoba west and New Brunswick east are considered National). Includes $100 CAD insurance and tracking information which will be sent to you by Canada Post when your parcel is processed.
International:
International Economy: 2 to 4 weeks (Estimate): There are no published delivery standards for Surface Parcel service; however there is a service expectation of 2-4 weeks to most international destinations plus 1-2 days processing time. ($11.00+ USD / 6.5+ Euros approx.) ** Due to a large number of lost/missing parcels, we will no longer ship using this method **
International Air: 8-14 Business Days (Estimate): There are no published delivery standards for International Air Parcel service; however, there is a service expectation of 6-10 business days to most international destinations plus 1-2 days processing time. ($15+ USD approx.) This is our default method for shipping internationally.
Additional Surcharges: You are responsible for all shipping charges plus a restocking fee on ordered items when deliveries cannot be made for the following reasons:

| Shipment returned because you supplied the wrong address | We will reship to your new address. You pay the return shipping fee + original shipping fee |
| You refuse delivery of a shipment | Return shipping charges + $10 + 25% restocking fees. Any difference will be available as a store credit. |
- Your shipment is is returned because you provided an incorrect address, failed to collect your parcel from the carrier, or you refuse a shipment. You will be charged for postage in both directions + a 25% restocking fee + a return fee of $10 for processing your return shipment. Tee difference from what you originally paid will be available as a store credit.
Taxes, Duties & Customs fees
Canada: no duties or customs fees. GST/HST where applicable (on all items). PST applies to sales in the Province of Ontario (however please note that cloth diapers are PST-exempt!)
USA: no duties or customs fees.
International: Buyers are responsible for all duties, customs fees, and taxes assessed by the customs and excise offices in your country. Most countries allow small value shipments to be imported duty free, consult your local excise office to check limits for your country.
Returns/Exchanges
Our number one priority is making you happy. We will accept a return or exchange (minus shipping charges) on all items within 21 days as long as the item is unwashed and unused. A 10% restocking fee will apply minus shipping costs. Please notify us BEFORE you return an item so that we know to expect it.
If you are not satisfied with a used or washed item you can return it within 30 days for your money back minus shipping costs and a 40% restocking fee. This offer is void if the item was washed in bleach or if fabric softener was used. There are no returns after 30 days. Please note if your order qualified for free shipping, our shipping costs will be deducted from the amount refunded to you.
Return shipping costs will be incurred by the customer - please do not send by courier or your parcel will be refused. If you are returning an item from outside of Canada, please mark on the customs form that this is a product return. If this is not done, costs incurred will be deducted from your credit.
Canadian Customers will receive a refund either by cheque or credit card and International customers (including the US) will receive their refund by PayPal once the product has been received in good order. We do recommend insurance on product returns.
Any items where the order qualified for free shipping, original shipping charges will be deducted from the refund.
